The Amtrak Frederick Douglass Tunnel - Package B supports replacing the 150-year-old Baltimore and Potomac (B&P) Tunnel while minimizing disruptions to service. This project enhances safety and capacity along Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor, which serves over 9 million passengers annually. The project’s scope includes constructing a new ADA-compliant West Baltimore MARC station, relocating major utilities, reconstructing roadways, and replacing five bridges, including associated enabling work.

C3M’s scope includes providing and installing two 800A Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) services for the East and West Siphon shafts, fabrication and installation of power distribution cans to connect to the BGE services distributing temporary power at each Siphon shaft location, installation of branch circuits and their associated PVC pathways via duct banks, and providing additional distribution equipment to supply temporary power for dewatering and trash pumps at the East Siphon shaft. C3M provides temporary power connections for office trailers and the Fan Control Conex during this work. Additionally, the scope includes selective demolition of existing lighting and wiring devices, distribution of equipment, and complete electrical renovations for the Clark/Stacy and Witbeck warehouse, office, laydown yard, and Frederick Douglass Tunnel Concrete quality control lab.
