The New Traction Power Facilities West Bay project is part of BART’s larger Transbay Corridor Core Capacity Program (TCCCP), which will greatly expand capacity throughout the existing transit system in order to accommodate increasing ridership.
C3M Clark Cupertino is installing two new traction power substations at the Civic Center and Montgomery Street passenger stations. The scope of work includes structural, architectural, utility, and mechanical modifications to the facilities including demolishing portions of the concourse levels at both stations. C3M Power Systems is performing traction power, electrical, and communications work related to the new substations.
