The project team performed all traction power and automatic train control work to facilitate replacement of three interlockings on the Baltimore Metro system. Our work began with removal of traction power and automatic train control equipment and cabling from the track. Following demolition and installation of new special trackwork, C3M reinstalled traction power and automatic train control equipment, including switch machines, snowmelter cases and associated switch heater elements, third rail heater cabinets, impedance bonds, and associated conduit and wire. All work was accomplished during a 21-day shutdown of the track section containing the interlockings.
C3M received a Certificate of Appreciation from MTA in recognition of its excellent performance on this challenging project.
